R & S Hunting club is dedicated to providing a family friendly atmosphere that is conducive to making memories of hunting trips that will last a life time.​



A message from the President, Lloyd Matthews:

R & S Hunting Club is located in St. Clair County on the bank of the Coosa River, Approximately 14 miles from Etawah County, near Ragland, Alabama. We are currently on a game management program, working with our land owner's game biologist. Through this program we have developed a strategy to increase our buck population - no spikes, 4 points or better on one side, 3 1/2" to 4 1/2" year old deer. We strive to maintain a doe to buck ratio of two to one. The game management program consists of all harvest deer being weighed, pulling jaw bones and tagging with a data card. The data is then returned to the landowner's game biologist for analysis. We have a spring turkey hunt, a summer planting program followed up with a fall planting program.

Our Goals

*To have a safe, comfortable "litter-free environment" for our families to have a every time we go into the woods;

*To keep the landowners form whom we lease, happy with us as R&S Hunting Club in -order to insure that we are able to continue to lease our property each year;

*To have a good sense about management;

*R&S strives to have a club where it is safe to hunt and clean enough to bring our wives and children;

*Create and obtain harmony within our club
